It's after a great evening together that you sit back and just think to yourself - "Wow, God has given me such an amazing inspirational group of Godly friends!"
Friends are something that we can easily take for granted because they are 'just there'. But we need to recognise this and just thank God daily for the wonderful people he has surrounded us by! Whom we know by being around we are forever increasing in knowledge, faith, and just imitating Christ.
Thank you God for the amazing people you have placed in my life. Thank you that they are people that know and love you with all their heart. Thank you that they they show your love and grace to all whom cross their paths. Thank you for the times we spend together having fun and i pray there will be many more! Thank you Lord for friends i can depend upon and trust, friends i can pray with. Thank you Lord! Amen

It's been a long time since i posted! haha, my bad! I've been so busy with Christmas and everything i just haven't had the time to post!
Hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas and celebrated the birth of our King :D!
I got a book for christmas which i would definitely recommend to all! :) It's by a guy called Tim Hawkins who is an Australian Youth Pastor and the book is called 'The Cry Of My Heart'. It's all about how to be a genuine disciple. And although i am only on page 25 so far, it's great!!

Bible Verse of the Day - 08/12/11

No one comes to the Father except through me.” New International Version (NIV)Back in the early summer i was reading a book called "Just Walk Across The Room" written by an American guy called Bill Hybels. It is an amazing book and would thoroughly recommend it!! It's all about simple steps to point people to faith.
There is a section in it which describes what Jesus did for us.

But because Jesus died for us, he took away our sins! Ephesians 1 : 7 says this: "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace." NIV. Because of Jesus our sins are forgiven. He washed our crimson stain and made us pure as snow. He is the bridge between Man and God! Because of him, we can be with God :)!

The Bible that is falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t
This is a picture that my beautiful friend Beth put on her blog (www.spotofhope.blogspot.com), and i think its just a really true thing :D!
We need to let the bible take priority in our lives, we need to Eat, Sleep and Breathe it!
Hebrews 4:12

The bible is our Guidelines to live! It is a well known saying that there should be an instruction manual for how to live, and people just agree, "yeahh, that would be pretty cool!" WELL DERRR! There is! And it is called the Bible :D
The bible is our instruction manual, it tells us how to live a good & honest life, bearing many fruits that is glorifying God. It gives us comforting verses in times of need and sorrow, and helps us to resist temptation and sin.
So in conclusion, THE BIBLE IS AWESOME!

As i was walking to the bus stop this morning the sky above was beautiful. It had lots of different morning colours in it and the sun shone through the clouds - A beautiful sight! It's simple things like this that we often overlook, just the beauty of the Earth. We often need to just pause for a minute, and thank God for the simple things in life :)!

How He Loves
How He Loves is a song by David Crowder. It is one of my favourite Christian songs because it displays beautifully the love the Jesus Christ has for us!
This video is really good because it just highlights the love God has for us! At various parts during it Matt Chandler and John Piper talk about the love God has.
The first time i heard this song was on Friday 29th April. I was at a youth event with a couple of my friends called "The Event 2011" original i know ;) and the band just play the chorus and bridge. This section spoke right to my heart. From a young age i haven't felt accepted and loved by my family and other people, i felt as if no one loved me ever and i was just a burden to everyone. This song just spoke right to my heart and the Holy Spirit just came upon me and i broke down. For the first time in my life i felt FULLY loved, and FULLY accepted! That's the amazing thing about God, He loves us endlessly! A love that we as mere human beings cannot even dream to think about. A love in which he sent his ONE and ONLY son to die for us! He sent his son, to die for us, so that we may be saved! How amazing is that! He loves you unbelievable amounts! Knowing that I am fully accepted, loved and welcomed into God's family is the best thing ever! Just knowing that there is someone that is ALWAYS there, He has ALWAYS been there, and He will ALWAYS be there!

My Testimony :)
So i thought i would give y'all a bit of my Christian faith background :) I go to Kings Community Church (KCC) which is part of the New Frontiers family of churches! I was baptised on Easter Sunday this year (24/04/11) which was such an amazing privilege to be accepted into God's family and truthfully one of the best days of my life! So thought i'd give all you beautiful readers a snippet of my life in the version of my testimony, as read out at my baptism!
I was born into a Christian family so i have always been familiar with the idea of God. As a child, i knew no other, coming to church was a routine thing and how much i enjoyed it depended on what we did in Sunday School, or God's Gang. i never questioned Christianity but i never endeavored to find out more either. In both Primary and Secondary school, i declared to people that i was a christian, but i never followed a Godly life outside a Sunday morning service.
Last August (2010), both my Great Aunt and Gran died. This was a big shock for me and it really confused me. I had never been connected to death - unless you count my two cats - so i didnt really know what to do. i had so many emotions inside of me i couldn't control them. i felt excluded from my family and was very alone. i rebelled with everything, including religion. instead of turning to God, i turned away. With the influence of a lot of my non-christian friends i stopped my trust in God. Being away from God was horrible. I was living in arguments and was feeling down most of the time - to the stage of depression. i hated coming to church, i didnt believe it so what was the point in me being here; but i didnt have a choice, which made me hate it even more!
In early January i was listening to a youth talk at my church one Sunday by one of my youth leaders called Tom. I didnt think much of it at the time and just tried to not listen! But in the following days after that i just felt different, i felt touched by God. So i got in contact with Tom again and i was placed into a cell group (a group of about 10 people that meet weekly). Since then my faith in God has massively increed and continues to increase daily. i know that God is someone i can rely on and he will always be my family. i am getting to know God more and more each day.
At the Youth Weekend away in Avon Tyrell, Ben (our main youth leader) was encouraging us to get baptised. God gave me a picture of a small white bird flying upwards whilst carrying someone, but the person fell and continued to fall until a bigger and better bird came and took them upwards. I felt as if God was saying that i needed to trust in the big white bird - a metaphor for him - and by doing that meant being baptised :D
So that is my testimony and since the day of giving my life over to God i have never looked back! I dont pretend now that i'm a Christian that everything is dandy and life is easy, because its not! And if that's what people believe being a christian means they need a hard reality check! But i do know that whatever may be going on in my life i always have someone there. God! He is always there for me and will always be there for YOU! He has planned everything out! And what happens in your life at the time is just a tiny spec on glass in comparison to the great things he has planned for me!
Jeremiah 29:11 says this - "For i know the plans i have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

First blog n all! How exciting :D!
First thing you must know, is i like smileys!! I will use smileys ALL the time :D! Cos they are amazing :P

So the purpose of this blog really is just so i can go on at how amazing God is! Cos He is amazing indeed!! I guess i oughta explain where i got the title for my blog. I sat for about 10 minutes trying to think of one, cos it can't be something naff! Haha :L and just in the background was listening to some music and a song which i first learnt in February came on! And surprise surprise it was called "Our God Is King"! It was written by a guy called Matt Giles! This song will always hold a special resemblance in my heart because it was played at my first youth weekend away. I had been a christian for about 7 weeks, maybe a little more and i was loving it! This song was one of the 'main' songs we sang and i just love it! I had completely forgotten about it again until this morning when i was happily eating my cereal and the bridge just randomly popped into my head! And i've barely stopped listening to it all day! I did try to upload it for all to listen to, but unfortunately i couldnt! Sad times :(
Well anyway that is all for now :D
